Weight Loss and Diet Advice for the 21st Century Woman

We all know that sticking to a diet or exercise program for weight loss can be tough, but for the 21st century woman it can be even harder.

Most women these days have a hectic lifestyle, often juggling motherhood with a job which can make sticking to a diet or making time for a jog hard. Here is some advice to help busy mothers and career women with weight loss.

No matter how much of a rush you are in – you should never eat on the run, snack in the car or at the desk. Make time to sit down and eat a proper meal at the table.

If you sit down to eat, you can saviour each bite which will make you feel fuller and eat less. If you eat on the run – you can often forget you’ve had anything at all which will make you snack even more.

Always cook only what you are going to eat. Never be tempted to cook larger batches of food at one time to save time later. If you cook a larger batch at once you will be tempted to eat more and pick at it to finish the leftovers.

Always make time for a healthy breakfast at home even if it means waking up a little bit earlier.If you skip breakfast you will be tempted to snack on sugary foods on the way into work or at mid morning.

Instead stock your cupboard with healthy breakfast foods that are easy to prepare such as fresh fruit, some yoghurt, and whole grain cereals. This way you will be getting healthy nutritious start to the day.

Try to drink at least eight glasses of water every day. Drinking plenty of water not only helps you to lose weight but will keep you replenished, is good for your skin and will help your overall health too. If you are not a fan of plain water then why not try purchasing some bottles of flavored water or try adding a piece of lemon too it.

Why not ask some of your friends that are also trying to lose weight to meet weekly for moral support and to share some weight loss and diet tips. You can keep each other company on your weight loss quest, exercise together and even share healthy recipes.

Always remember that a healthy diet and exercise are the main ingredients you need to lose weight. Forget fad diets and weight loss supplements because they will only work for the short term. Instead adopt a healthier lifestyle and stick to it. This way you will be slim and fighting fit for years to come.
