The first essential for life is air, and the moment you cease to breathe, your physical body will begin to decay. Breathing is the basic root of existence, and as such must have prime consideration in any problem of health.

Are you aware that mountain or sea air can make you feel good and even promote healing? It is surprising that people do not give more attention to the quality of the air they breathe.

Through the air you breathe, you can gain vital life force energy, which is also known as ki, chi, prana, vital energy, magnetism etc.

One of the most beneficial methods of breathing is deep rhythmical inhalation and exhalation through the nose. 10-15 minutes of deep breathing in the morning and evening will be of great benefit to you.

Of course, you can consciously practise deep breathing at any time throughout your day, which certainly helps to reduce stress and tension and plays a large part in the healing process.

How pure is the air you breathe?

WATER

Most of the planet is covered with water and your body is about 75% water, so it is easy to see how vital pure water is in your life.

Every living cell requires water, air and nutrients. Water acts as a solvent in your body and the purer it is, free from pollutants and chemicals, the more toxins you can release into it for removal.

It is generally accepted by those who have studied the subject that the use of bottled, filtered, spring, and especially distilled water will help keep your body cells free from waste products. Distilled water is a marvelous blood purifier and can certainly help to preserve your health and longevity.

NUTRITION

Today after a brief detour into science and medicine, humankind is once again looking at how to use nature’s products to restore abundant health to a dis-ease ridden world.

What you eat is directly related to how you think, feel and act and your body is a marvelous factory that needs constant maintenance.

It is absolutely necessary to recognise the ill-effects of refining, processing, overcooking and the convenience packaging of many of our foods today. It is a good idea to look very closely at the nutritional quality of the foods you are eating.

One of the secrets to recharge your energy, is to gradually introduce more and more raw organic fruit and vegetables to your diet. If this is combined with quality supplements, only then can you be sure to absorb the nutrients your body needs on a daily basis.

How pure is the food you eat?

EXERCISE

Everyone should take some exercise on a daily basis as part of a healthy lifestyle. Exercise is a process by which the cells of the body are placed under controlled stress. This stimulates metabolic efficiency as well as increasing strength and vitality.

Most forms of exercise are good at stimulating particular body tissue, but often leave aside the strengthening of others. An efficient form of exercise will be one which reaches every cell of the body.

Other good forms of exercise are… walking, swimming, jogging, running, aikido, yoga, chi kung, tai chi, martial arts, etc. depending on your particular preference.

RELAXATION

Most of us counteract the benefits of sleep and relaxation by using soft mattresses, television, eating before retiring etc. If you are using energy for digestion or processing thoughts, then you are not using it to repair and recharge your vital life force.

Any stress or anxiety will effect both your mind and body, and can lead to dis-ease. So, you will need to deal with it now before it becomes a serious issue. Mental and physical relaxation allows you to be more at ease.

Deep breathing can help you release stress and tension. Just take a few deep breaths, and as you breathe out, completely relax all of your muscles and just let go of tension and release any mental chatter.

EMOTIONAL FEELINGS

Feelings are the sensations of your subconscious mind, and the urges of your instincts set them into action. Emotion is the spark to action, an automatic response to certain situations, causing biological reactions in your body.

It can sometimes spring up from nowhere… you can love, be happy, sad, fearful, angry etc. Under stress the blood flow to the left and right hemisphere’s of your brain can become unbalanced and lose harmony.

Laughter can solve many problems and even help cure illness and dis-ease. When you take control of your emotions you will begin to experience more energy. When emotion strikes, breathe deeply, relax and let it go.

Mental habits become so grooved after a few repetitions that they become the major ruling part of life.

The lower mind is interested in making money, eating, drinking and self-indulgence in the 5 passions. The higher mind is engaged in thought activity like philosophy, ethics, morals, creative arts, literature, music and painting.
