Simple Steps To Lose Weight

Introduction – What this guide is and what it is not.
This guide was written to assist people with losing weight and living a natural healthy lifestyle. This is not a get slim quick or crash diet guide. You will learn how to make the right decisions with your health in mind and the end result should be a safe amount of weight loss. This guide is not designed to teach you how to count calories, or show you any new workout techniques.
Eating – And what to eat.
One of my favorite things to do. Eating is a necessary and often very enjoyable action that we as human beings do many times a day. We need to eat to consume food to sustain daily life. The problem is, though, we make all the wrong decisions. Listed are some common mistakes made by overweight people’s eating decisions:

  • Wrong foods.
    Learn to stay away from the wrong kinds of foods. This means the fried foods, the high fat foods, and high sugar snacks. Alternatives: Fruit, Veggies, High-Protein lean white meat.
  • Too much food.
    Our portions are way to big. 50 years ago the dinner plate was half the size as it is today! The average American consumes 2 portions to 1 normal portion.
  • Wrong time to eat.
    Too many people eat late at night or right before bed. It is very important that you do not eat less than 3 hours prior to going to sleep. This slows down your metabolism and increases weight gain and excess fat storage.
  • Eating for the wrong reasons.
    Many emotions and psycholigical states promote eating such as depression, boredom, sorrow, etc. You should not let your brain decide its time to eat to satisfy other chemical imbalances.

Exercise – Do it.
We always hear that we need to exercise more to lose weight. Well it’s true!
Most people are unable to lose weight without exercise due to the fact that there metabolism has slowed down and requires extra physical activity to burn excess calories.
If the idea of busting a sweat and really working out hard sounds like too much to you maybe you should start with a brisk walk. Just 15 minutes a day can make a difference if your not doing anything. Everybody has to start somewhere.
Diet Supplements – Extra Help.
While there are a ton of products on the market today making an array of promises be sure to get the facts before considering any of them for use. Remember that as tempting as it may sound to take a pill and magically lose weight, there are plenty of scams out there. These products are all very different and everybody will experience different results. Also remember when considering diet pills, hunger suppressants, colon cleansers, or fat burners it is always important to eat healthy and continue to exercise.
