How to Train for Fitness Like You're in the Military

Although everyone may not want to join the military, when it comes to fitness, anyone can still learn to train their body as if they were in the military. People in the military who undergo basic training learn how to become extremely physically fit through practicing simple muscular endurance exercises and running. They do this for conditioning purposes to prepare their bodies for situations of combat. You can do this also, at home, to keep yourself in shape and to promote the overall health of your body.

To train like you’re in the military, you need to know what the basic exercises are that you can do. These include push-ups, pull-ups, sit-ups, squats and running. The best way to train like you’re in the military would be to do the exercises above using time as the method for measuring progression. What this means is see how many repetitions you can do per exercises for two minutes. For running, you need to be able to run at least two miles in fewer than 20 minutes. You may also want to throw some swimming into your routine as swimming is another major exercise they use in the military.

Overall, to learn how to train your body like a soldier, you need to develop your muscular endurance and cardiovascular systems. Do this type of training at least three to four times per week to see results. Learn to control your diet as well, and you will definitely be on your way to developing a fit body just like those who join the military.
