How To Get Rid Of Acne With Simple Lifestyle Changes

Acne is a bothersome problem that no person wants to deal with. It is uncomfortable, unattractive, and can make you feel really self-conscious about yourself. When dealing with acne only twenty percent of the problem is what you put on your face.

The other eighty percent has to do with lifestyle, genetics, as well as the foods we eat. There are some simple lifestyle changes that you can start making today that will dramatically improve your acne.

The first lifestyle change that makes a huge impact is the cleanliness of the face. I’m not talking about which cleanser you should be using.

Wash your face twice a day, and use a new washcloth and towel each time. Also, make a conscious effort to keep your hands off of your face.

If you exercise or find yourself sweaty, wash your face again. Also wash your hair daily, oily hair will cause breakouts.

Finally, change your pillowcase daily. The oils left behind overnight can cause additional breakouts.

Next, we will address diet and exercise. It is essential to get at least four servings of fresh fruits and vegetables a day, but six to eight servings is ideal.

Drink 8-12 glasses of water per day, and also add in at least 20 minutes of exercise per day. Exercise pumps lymphatic fluid through the body which is essential for eliminating toxins which can cause acne.

By exercising, even for a short time each day you are getting rid of the sludge which will in turn help get rid of acne.

Finally, let’s discuss the balancing of hormones. Hormone spikes are famous for inducing acne. Teenagers, pregnant women, and also cycling women all know the truth of this fact.

In order to help balance the hormone levels it is important to try to keep stress to a minimum. Stress will raise your hormone levels. An inexpensive herb called red raspberry leaf may be made into a tea.

You can either buy tea bags, or buy the herb loose leaf and brew it in a tea ball. Drink two cups of this tea either hot or cold every day and you will quickly find your hormones balancing out and acne disappearing.

There are certainly many products you can buy to help get rid of acne. However, without the proper lifestyle changes, those products will never be quite as effective.
