Healthcare Informatics to Hold Executive Summit on Health IT, Meaningful Use

Healthcare Informatics, the leading industry publication on health IT, will gather 100+ prominent CIOs, CMIOs, and federal health IT professionals to discuss meaningful use, HITECH, and other health IT topics at the Healthcare Informatics Executive Summit. This intimate, three-day event will be held May 6-8 in Orlando, Florida and will highlight what industry pioneers are doing to meet the requirements for meaningful use and how they are moving forward with health information exchanges and accountable care organizations.

The second annual HCI Executive Summit will feature Keynote addresses by David Muntz, the Principal Deputy National Coordinator for Health IT in the HHS Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT, and Drexel G. DeFord, FCHIME, the Board Chairperson for CHIME and Senior VP/CIO for the Seattle Children's Hospital & Research Institute. Other speakers will include leaders in strategic IT consulting and executive search fields, HIE and data security spheres, CIOs, CMIOs, and other IT executives and healthcare professionals.

The small, intimate format of the Summit will encourage the discussion and exchange of strategic, executive-level ideas, while providing excellent opportunities for networking among speakers, panelists, and participants. Topics for discussion will include strategies for meaningful use, clinical data analysis, HIE, evidence-based physician ordering, improvement of patient safety, reduction of medical errors, sustainability and RCM optimization.

The Healthcare Informatics Executive Summit will take place in Orlando, Florida at the Marriot Orlando World Center Resort from May 6th – 8th.
