HCG Fat Loss Program

There has been much debate in on-line forums and articles about diets that use human chorionic ganodotropin (HCG). Most of the on-line debate about the diet stems from people who have neither been on the fat loss program nor are physicians or medical staff.

Aside from the on-line debates and articles which are not based on research or personal experience what do you really know about the fat loss program?

The Fat Loss Program when followed can be a dream come true for people who need to lose 15 or more pounds. The fat loss program is a four phase program with very strict protocol and is not suitable or worthwhile for someone who is not willing to stick to the plan.

This diet resets the hypothalamus gland. The hypothalamus gland is the gland which regulates your body’s fat storage system and governs over glands including the thyroid. Your body will release its stored fat cells without the loss of structural fat or muscle. When following the strict protocol of the diet you will drop inches from your abdomen, hips, and thighs.

Phase One
Phase one of the fat loss program is detoxification. This stage of the program is designed to detox your body and prepare it for the weight loss with the HCG and diet. During this phase you are given health questionnaires which help to determine your individualized detoxification program which can last anywhere from 10 to 30 days. During the detoxification process you will wean yourself off of soft drinks, increase your water intake, and use various herbal cleanses.

Phase Two
Phase two of the fat loss program is the weight loss portion with B-Lean drops. B-Lean is a homeopathic sublingual form of the human chorionic gonadotrophin (HCG) hormone which is a body friendly substance that is excreted in the urine of pregnant women. The use of HCG in the treatment of obesity was discovered the a British physician, Dr. A.T. W. Simeons.

During this phase of the program patients tend to lose up to 34 pounds. People needing to lose more weight than that can go through the phase two of the diet multiple times but breaks will have to be taken in between. The length of the break will be determined by your health care professional that oversees the program.

While taking the B-Lean drops sublingulally (under your tongue) you will be on a very strict diet. The first two days of taking the drops are gorge days. You must eat to capacity and take in as many calories as possible along with the B-Lean drops. You will notice weight gain during these days but it will all be lost by day four of phase two.

After your gorge days you are on a very strict 500 calorie diet and can only eat certain combinations of foods. You will continue this diet for 23 to 40 days and weigh yourself daily to track your progress. Most people see an average loss of 1 to 2 pounds daily.

Phase Three
Phase three is the maintenance/break phase. During this phase of the program you give your body a break from the strict protocol of the diet and maintain a consistent body weight.

You will increase your calories based on your height and current weight and stay off of starches and sugars. You will continue to weigh yourself daily during this phase to keep your weight in check. If you gain more than a couple of pounds your doctor can recommend that you go on a steak day. (This will be explained in more detail during the HCG Fat Loss Program: Phase Three article)

Phase Four
Phase four of the diet is one that you will continue on for the rest of your life. During this final phase you will introduce some starches and sugars back into your diet but you will continue to weigh daily and stay within your calorie range. If you have reached your weight loss goal you will continue on this phase but if not you will go back to phase two again.

Just like with any diet program, you should consult your primary health care professional prior to starting it. The use of HCG in the treatment of obesity has not been approved by the FDA but has helped tens of thousands of people, including me, achieve fast and permanent weight loss.

Follow my progress on this fat loss program by reading my follow up articles. I will be doing an article on each individual phase of the diet and each week during the weight loss portion of my diet. My diet is being supervised by a physician that is available for support on each of the phases of my diet and I am having regular office visits every two weeks to monitor and track my progress.
