Have you been trying to lose weight and to build muscle at the same time? One of the things that many people do whenever they are trying to lose weight is to cut something out of their diets. I’m not necessarily talking about cutting sugar out of your diet, because that is an excellent idea if you’re trying to cut weight.
What I am talking about, however, is cutting something that is necessary out of your diet, such as fat or carbohydrates. How can something that is seemingly so bad according to the media be something that you actually need?
The body is an amazingly balanced machine and at times, it is necessary for us to maintain this balance at all costs. If we are cutting all of the carbohydrates out of the food that we are eating every day, we are not being a balanced individual.
Our body needs carbohydrates because it uses them for energy and the excuse of going into ketosis in order to burn fat does not hold any weight for me at all. When it does this, it is not good for the body, ask any diabetic.
The same thing is also true when it comes to eating fats. You may want to limit the amount of fat that you are eating and you certainly would want to watch the types of fats that you are eating if you’re trying to lose weight.
What you may not understand, however, is that there is some good type of fats that actually helps you to lose weight if you eat them regularly. These fats can be found in delicious items, such as coconuts.
One of the big secrets of losing weight and not losing muscle is to take a large spoonful of coconut oil at least one time per day. Make sure that it is raw!
It really is necessary for you to make sure that you eat a balanced diet if you want to be as healthy as possible. Although you will need to modify it depending on whether you are bulking or shredding weight, the basic principles are going to be about the same.
If you must cut carbohydrates and fats out of your diet, only cut the ones out that are really bad for you, such as white bread and saturated fats. That is the way you get lean.
